Lights of I-35

For some time now I’ve been feeling a little lost in my work and I’ve recently come to realize that I haven’t been doing any work for just myself. The realization came to me in part after a conversation that I had with a mentor and dear friend during which he asked my if I’ve had any time for personal work and if so would I share it with him. I had to say that I hadn’t in some time. With that in mind, I started to dig through some files on my computer, negatives and old prints looking for inspiration. I came across a handful of images that I took just over a year ago while Matt and I were driving home one night on I-35 from his family’s house an hour North of here. I have spent a few nights while relaxing before bed looking over the images and now I’d like to share. Enjoy!

Gateway to the Arch

This Summer Matt and I went to Missouri to just get away and relax. There was one thing that I had to do while there and that was to photograph the Arch in St. Louis. When I was a child countless trip were made there from Oklahoma for physical therapy and fun stuff like that was related to treatment for my Cerebral Palsy. The city and this amazing piece of art hold a great deal of importance to me. Enjoy!

For the past year I’ve been working with The Coda Project to create post art for their productions. Here are the photographs that we created for the next Coda production of Edward Albee’s The Play About the Baby opening July 13th at play! Theatre.

Portrait of Homeless

This week I worked with Cody Hudson of Six Door Productions who is filming a documentary chronicling the experiences of Daniel Dabney, while being homeless for thirty days. Daniel sat for me on Monday at the end of the thirty days to create this portrait.

Dance

A few months ago I had the opportunity to work with a very talented dancer to produce images for her portfolio. I’m so please with the body of work that emerged from the experience. Here is a glimpse at what we did. Enjoy!
