Jake Lovins

Jake is a young photographer that I’ve had the honor to get to know the past several months. He’s about to move away to North Texas to begin his studies in photography and before he left I wanted the chance to photograph him. It was honor to have the opportunity to photograph him and I wish much success in his new journey.

Holga

I love my Holga. I’m thinking that I should make one frame a day with it and make it a little weekly Holga Blog Project.

Pidgeon + Tape

I created this image last year as part of a marketing project for a theatre company. There were many elements that went into the final product, but this one photograph spoke to me the most out of everything that went into the final image and I’ve been dying to share it.

Maternity, High Fashion

I’ve been looking at these images for a while now and thinking to myself I need to them. While there not really new images and more like over a year old, I felt that it was time to share them. They were the product of a pure “lets try this” moment during a shoot and I’m extremely proud of them. I call them “Maternity, High Fashion” and I hope that you enjoy.

Hello and happy New Year to all. I’ve been busy all week working with a new and exciting client, The Ovadafût Hosiery Company. This New York based company is focused on the luxury and style of accessories. Their sock are works of art and I’m exited to be able to share a few of my favorite images that I’ve created this week from their Spring 2007 collection.

Lights of I-35

For some time now I’ve been feeling a little lost in my work and I’ve recently come to realize that I haven’t been doing any work for just myself. The realization came to me in part after a conversation that I had with a mentor and dear friend during which he asked my if I’ve had any time for personal work and if so would I share it with him. I had to say that I hadn’t in some time. With that in mind, I started to dig through some files on my computer, negatives and old prints looking for inspiration. I came across a handful of images that I took just over a year ago while Matt and I were driving home one night on I-35 from his family’s house an hour North of here. I have spent a few nights while relaxing before bed looking over the images and now I’d like to share. Enjoy!

Gateway to the Arch

This Summer Matt and I went to Missouri to just get away and relax. There was one thing that I had to do while there and that was to photograph the Arch in St. Louis. When I was a child countless trip were made there from Oklahoma for physical therapy and fun stuff like that was related to treatment for my Cerebral Palsy. The city and this amazing piece of art hold a great deal of importance to me. Enjoy!
